DIY To Do List

DIY, body harness, moon, garters, body chain, leggings, spiderwebs
Sources - one, two, three, four and five.

Inspired by The Mutant Stomp Friends, I've decided to do a DIY to do post; I already have a To Do List on my blog featuring what I'm doing, but I have a bad habit of forgetting to update it and it's not very current. So I'm going to rely on you, readers, to hold me accountable for all the things I want to finish in the next month or so.

Harness

I've been wanting to make myself a harness for a while; the price of high end designer pieces sends me into convulsions, and the trend has long since passed so I've had no luck in more mainstream stores. An elastic harness is first on the list (though, equally, I may get one on Etsy), but I would like to make a leather one too once I get the materials.

Elastic Garters

I've been a big fan of Noctex Clothing ever since discovering it - I now own the Axis Dress from their last collection (post coming soon!), but sadly I was too late to get a pair of their skeleton garters. I love the idea, however, so I'm hoping to DIY a similar pair (not the same design) soon!

Portable Hard Drive Case

This one is pretty boring. I need a case for my hard drive, and I'm thinking of painting a lunar cycle on it, which I've been seeing in a lot of art recently.

Body and Hand Chains

I've been rather partial to this trend of late; my local craft shop has some nice chain in, which I promptly bought all of, and I'm playing with ideas of what to do with it.

Spiderweb Leggings

This is the DIY which never ends. I started these one and a half years ago, and due to the pointillist style I've used it's been a long time. I've nearly finished, however, and I'll be glad to see them done. Champagne may feature.

In reality, there's twice this many projects that I want to make. My exams are finally over, and I'm currently on an Arts and Health block. This, combined with the growing awareness of a lack of a creative outlet in my life, has prompted me to start making art again. I did my first acrylic in years last week, which went terribly - I also completed a ten minute chalk portrait (not a medium I've every used before) which went well, however, so there's hope yet.

Fee

P.S. Did you know that An Honest Drug is on Facebook now? It's terribly new, but for the love of god give me a reason to stay on that hellish site!

  1. I've been wanting to make a body chain since forever too! I should add that to my list. Can't wait to see your spiderweb leggings and thanks for introducing me to Noctex clothing...cool stuff!
